I am back from my vacation and I am excited to share my photos. This trip took me north to two beautiful national parks over ten days. Since it is too much to share and editing and picking photos will take me some time I decided to break it up by day. So here we go!

Day 1:

Today the adventure begins with a 580 km drive with a lunch stop at a large lake in Colorado. I got good shots of an osprey nest with two chicks waiting for their meal. The parents were sitting nearby on telephone poles. I also got a view of a wildfire that broke out just a day earlier. A second wildfire could be seen from the road later on. It is very hot and dry, ideal fire conditions. In the evening, very close to my destination for the day in Wyoming I found this amazing little park with trails for hiking and mountain biking. The evening light was just perfect for the rock formations to show their colors. I love places like this! I was scrambling around to get some shots before the sun disappeared behind the horizon.
