もう日がみじかくなってきました。- The days are already getting shorter.
This
was a week ago at the lake's public garden. The peonies started blooming. It has been raining most every evening, so it has been a bit of a challenge for me to get out and enjoy my usual evening walks and hikes. Still, I like this weather much better than the oppressive heat in many parts of the Western U.S.. Once again, wildfires have been ravaging and unfortunately fire activity so far has been surpassing the record-setting wildfire season of last year. It's quite concerning.
On a positive note, the recent rains seem to have created good conditions for mushrooms. I have seen quite a few mushrooms on my hikes already and this is just the beginning of mushrooming season. I plan on getting out this weekend and hunt for mushrooms. 🍄
