I made a sphinx, designed by Yoo Tae Yong. In Greece, sphinxes were usually female and told riddles. If you gave the wrong answer, it would kill you. In Egypt, they were usually male and they were more like guardians. In Giza, there is a famous statue of a sphinx. It was carved directly from a single large limestone plateau. After the decline of the ancient Egyptians it was slowly buried up to its shoulders in sand, but in the 1930s it was finally dug back up.
