Was clearing out my gmail inbox and came across this email from my Chinese teacher when I was a teen. She has inspired me to read even if it's unpleasant. She has inspired me into a lifelong interest in the Chinese language and a curiosity about the world on the other side. Chinese is a living, breathing and ethereal language. Gonna live by this.
