みずうみでおよいだり、ビーチをたのしんだりするごご。- An afternoon of swimming and enjoying
the beach at the lake. This is a continuation of my vacation report. A road trip north to the National Parks.
🔹️Day 2:
Today I finally arrived at the gates of Grand Teton National Park. Along the way I had to sweat out a traffic stop. I was happily cruising along at 10 miles above the speed limit on a straight road in the middle of nowhere when an oncoming highway patrol checked my speed and promptly turned around with lights flashing to stop me. Luckily, it was a friendly policeman and I got away with only a warning... 😚
After checking into the camping cabin that we'd have for a couple of days (I was bringing my daughter along on this trip) we went straight to the lake. This is Jackson Lake and the place is called Colter Bay. I can't describe enough how much I love this spot. Beautiful clear, fairly warm water, panoramic views of majestic mountains, little noise, no crowds... what else does one need?
We went for a swim and enjoyed some relaxing time on the beach until early evening when the setting sun made for a special show of light on the water.
