For the past week I had been deliberating over whether to fly
home to England. I don’t have any work until at least the beginning of March and, like most people, I was living under self imposed isolation. I had completed the bulk of the incubation period while my family and friends all wanted me to return. Finally, I booked a flight and came home. I’ll spend the next two weeks indoors to ensure that I have not contracted the virus. China is, and always will be, my second home. The thousands of selfless doctors, nurses and construction workers are heroes. In these dark times they have provided the light. I’m proud to call China my home and I hope people can understand my decision. I have complete faith that China can defeat this and normality will resume sooner rather than later. 中国加油!🇨🇳❤️Download the HelloTalk app to join the conversation.
