さくばんは9じかんねました。- I slept for two hours last night. 🛌
It has been
raining every single day here, so I am limited in my activities, even though I am off for the first three days this week. It's really a pity, I was hoping to do at least one full day hike, but the best I get to do is short evening excursions when the storms have moved off. Here is a photo series from yet another evening visit to the lake about a week ago. A Canada goose family was enjoying the water and a Great Blue Heron was on the prowl obscured by the foliage. The lupines once again offer so many photo opportunities, especially with the dam in the background still with a powerful water runoff. In the summer, it slows to only a trickle, but the rains have been so abundant, all the creeks are running high.
The weather is really continuing to be extreme around the world. The Czech Republic just recorded its first F4 tornado with tremendous destructions and several lives lost, while temperature records are being broken in the Pacific Northwest. Also, the province of British Columbia in Canada has been baking in the heat. 47.9 degrees is a new record and just unheard of. That's hotter than Las Vegas! It truly makes me worried about our future.
