I have seen a lot of people on this app looking for “native speakers

” of English. Just because they are from a country, whose native language is English, it doesn’t necessarily mean that their English is good. If you’re searching for an English speaking language partner look for one, who can explain grammar, intonation etc

    Learning a language depends on your own practice and hard work, and has nothing to do with finding local native speakers of English

    @Ashley I think a language partner with standard grammar and pronunciation is definitely helpful. Accent stuff is not that important tho. The point is some people who call themselves “native English speaker” might mislead you with their poor English. 有还不如没有。

    @HH you can still learn standard grammar and pronunciation from non native speakers. It’s a stereotype that all native English speakers speak flawless English. Yeah and some people who claim to be native English speakers, can mislead others with their poor English .
