きのうは600kmのドライブできたくしました。- It was a 600 km drive back home yesterday
.I am back from my summer camping trip with my daughter. We visited the San Juan mountains in Colorado, U.S.A. and stopped at the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park on the way.
The trip was full of hikes, visits to canyons, waterfalls, lakes and historic towns in an area with a rich silver and gold mining legacy.
We enjoyed a hot spring, campfires under the stars and great scenic drives. Camping on a small lake at 3200 meters was the highlight of our vacation. It was hard to leave.
We had some rain along with sunny days, as the monsoon season was in full swing bringing daily showers. Rain is not always ideal when you are tent camping, but somehow it dried out every time we needed it and we never got soaked.
Now I am back working and dreaming of the good times I just experienced.
Here is a preview of the scenery I want to share in future posts once I can sift through all my photos.
