I just completed a motorcycle journey from QingDao to ChengDu

. I drove around 7500kms in total. It was one of the best experiences of my life. I had lots of injuries, lots of problems with local people who has never seen a foreigner before and lots of problems with the weather. But on the flip side I met lots of great people who were always willing to chat and tell me about their area, seen some of the world's best scenery and was able to see things from another perspective. Can you guys recognise some of the places in the photos? Or guess to some of the places I went to on the way?

    @phillip gregory yes, I have a off-road motorcycle, but just occasionally ride it for traveling, I’m curious how do you figure out the problem that a foreigner own a motorcycle in China, even rode for traveling

    @Dorian I love off road motorcycles! I have the 凯越 500x but it's too heavy to ride off road, even though I still ride it off road. I have a KTM 450 EXC in the UK. I did my licence and passed the test in China. That was it. I'm a good map reader so I usually just follow the map on the phone. Speaking Chinese helps too.

    @phillip gregory 500x is good enough for traveling, it owns slightly off-road the ability. I adore KTM, but it’s expensive in China, 450EXC is more than 100,000 RMB, even that it can’t get license plates

    @Dorian yeah KTM is not worth buying in China. My KTM in the UK was 14,000 RMB second hand 😂 with plates.

    @phillip gregory Oh, that makes me and others who like off-road moto jealous. If you announced that KTM is the best, almost no one will disagree with you. although most of us can’t afford it and have no ability to exert its performance, we want to own it .

    @Dorian actually I am the same, I cannot properly control the bike, it's just too powerful!
