Idiom of the Day
“Make ends meet”
When you are “making ends
meet,” you are making sure that all of your bills and expenses are paid by the end of the month. You may say to yourself, “In order to make ends meet, I will need to stop going out for coffee for the rest of this month.” Making ends meet means you have some sort of plan or idea to keep yourself in budget without going into debt. This could also mean taking on a second job to make sure you are not over budget.Download the HelloTalk app to join the conversation.
