Yesterday we visited the Norfolk Virginia Botanical gardens.
We really enjoyed seeing all the different flower gardens. We particularly liked the rose garden, which was dedicated in 1976 as a bicentennial tribute to the nation. Over 2,155 rose plants representing 299 varieties grows in this garden. We also visited the Butterfly House, which is an enclosed house that provides an unbelievable opportunity to observe butterflies as they circle and land on their favorite nectar flowers, providing an amazing up close views of these creatures.
