Here’s another tip about verbs that end in ‘ed’ and ‘ing’:

You

can used these prepositions after the ‘ed’ adjective. For example:
-I am distracted by Facebook.
-I am confused by this.

1) You can use "by" after almost all of the "ed" adjectives. The exceptions are in orange.

2) But we use "in" for "interesting".

3) With "excited", use "for" if you're excited for something in the future.

4) You can used "for" for some of these if it's on behalf of someone else. For example, if you got a new job, I would say "I'm excited for you!"

The hardest part is to memorize the preppositions that go with the words. I'd nomally memorize the whole sentences just to make sure that I won't forget the prepositions. 😂😂😂

@Joe Butler Hey Joe!! Could you give an example about the tip n°2? A phrase using " in" and "interesting". Thank you!! 🙂

@Ariadne yep! I just saw I have a mistake in my picture. I switched the words interesting and infuriating. Anyway: “I’m interested in Brazil”, and “Brazil is interesting” or “Brazil is interesting to me”
