I wish Koreans (not all are like this) would take foreigners

more seriously when it comes to dating. We have feelings too. I don't know they think westerners can't be hurt easily because we don't have feeling. If you don't want to be serious then don't date them. Simple logic

    I think Honestly there are some kind of people treat foreigners so easily than Koreans. I think it can be one of the reason that they stay in some period(not forever). Just ignore it for your health.

    I think they have a wrong perception about people from western countries when it comes to relationships and datings. They think they are more ‘easy’ and open for everything, which is absolutely not true and for those who just assume that you’d be easy and open just because you are a foreigner, have no absolute respect for you. I can’t tell you much about Korean guys because I don’t really know them well but it sounds like you have similar struggles with when I was living in western countries and dating with ‘western guys’ that they have no respect and just assume things about me just because I’m a foreigner

    @Kay I think it's also important how they met. Some foreigners meet at the club and I think it's a bad way to be real friends in Korea.(It's not only for foreigners including Koreans.). Or from the online,of course there are many types of people online. The best way to make real friends is at the University but it's hard if you are not the univ student. That's why I think many foriegners who lives in Korea teach english or work go to the bar or club to make native friends.

    @Vespa Yes, that's right. It's kind of similar I think. I think they treat not that deeply between western and eastern. I'm so sorry but it's true.

    Since Korea is basically homogeneous society, dating foreigners is for most koreans new, exotic and exciting experiences for them. Then some people think about serious relationships..

    @Vespa That's sad. But I think it's a little more rude in the western like a catcalling. I think it's because they are kind of more direct that eastern.

    @Kay It can be the good opportunity to make friends if someone study or work in your area. If they have a mind to stay longer or live, they want to make long-term friends, not instant. (I'm not sure my english.😓)

    @YeoBaek Especially in Europe, majority of men who catcalls are immigrants from other countries in different part of Asia tho.. It’s not about being more direct but how they look down on women 😂 If they have a little respect for women, they wouldn’t do that
