Idiom of the day:

Live and let live

This idiom simply means

to let other people live their lives how they wish. In return, you should also be given the same freedom and respect for living the life you want to live. This idiom is to reflect on not being judgmental to others and their way of life.

In contrast, a popular song by Paul McCartney sends a strong message “live and let die.” This song was written for a James Bond movie. In short, the statement is to live your own life and let other people die for their choices.

So do they mean the same thing? I guess the second one might not be used in daily life? Thanks

@Ella yes, they can mean the same thing, but I think more people are accustomed to “live and let die” being a song. Some Americans may start singing instead. 😂

@Dips I do not wish to join groups, as I help so many people from all over the world. Time zone differences seems to be my biggest obstacle in helping others.
