Sometimes I get worn down and feel heavy, looking at the world

through hopeless eyes.

Sometimes I feel bright and light, looking at the world through hopeful eyes.

Sometimes I feel stretched and worn thin, trying to fix all the world’s problems.

Sometimes I feel like I’m bursting with energy, trying to enjoy just what is mine.

No matter what, no matter where, and no matter how, it is mine to feel, mine to choose, and mine to embrace.

So today I choose hope, I choose joy, today I choose what is mine.
