私は東京に1年近く住んでいますが、泊まっているホテルで結婚式や特別な機会がない限り、着物を着ている人に出会うことはめったにありません。

着物を着るのが面倒で歩きにくいと聞きましたが、それでも伝統的で綺麗な服装をもっと多くの人に愛用して欲しいです。

From a foreigner’s perspective, one of the most alluring sights in Japan is a refined women wearing a kimono. I was lucky to see an older couple wearing the traditional attire today.

I’ve lived in Tokyo for almost a year and
unless there’s a wedding at a hotel I’m staying at or some other special occasion, I rarely come across anyone wearing a kimono.

I’ve heard it’s cumbersome to put on and difficult to walk when dressed in a kimono but nevertheless, I hope more people will embrace this elegant and beautiful fashion.
