to a new surrounding/situation Example (1): “Whenever we go on holiday I need to acclimatize to my new environment. For instance if we have travelled a long way I’d need to adjust to the time difference.”
Example (2): “When starting a new job I have to acclimatize to new working practices and the way my new colleagues act.”
