Vinegar is generally more commonly associated with food as it
adds some acidity 酸性 which can help bring out flavors. In American food it’s commonly found in pickles 酸黄瓜, mustard 西式芥末, and some salad dressings 沙拉酱. In Chinese dishes it’s often used as a dip 蘸酱 when eating dumplings and used as an ingredient in many dishes.Because of its acidity, Vinegar is also a very strong cleaning agent. Next time you do laundry 洗衣服 you can add a little bit of vinegar with your detergent to get rid of odors. The strong vinegar smell is easily washed away.
