I’m not sure if anyone would understand me when I say this but
…As soon as I got to the airport in Korea, a sudden wave of relief and comfort washed over me. I’ve never been to Korea a day in my life before now but as soon as I saw the beautiful mountains and the water I got emotional. This isn’t me over exaggerating, I swear I felt so genuinely happy as soon as I arrived. When I got to sit and see the night lights outside of my quarantine hotel room window, I cried. It may seem like a normal night sky to others but for some reason, for me, I felt the most at peace then I have in the entire 21 years that I’ve been alive. I pray that the next 3 months that I’m here, that I can enjoy the sunsets and the sunrises. I hope to learn more and more about the culture and the language. 💜
