I have an English slang phrase for you today
! The phrase is “hit the road” this is something you may hear English speakers in the United States say and it simply means “leaving” for example:
Sarah: Hey Ben when are you leaving ?
Ben: I’m going to hit the road at about 4:30.
This means Ben plans to leave at 4:30.
