Hilarious that so many people on this app actually sincerely

believe I’m Mainland Chinese. Whilst I enjoy all of your compliments about how great my Chinese is ( even though it’s not), please don’t take it a step further and doubt where I actually come from, and then throw a tantrum because you think I’m lying to you, because this is actually starting to become a problem and people are blocking me for no reason because they think I’m a fake. I’ve studied the Chinese language for a long time and I cannot believe I’ve reached a level of fluency where i’m actually being asked to provide evidence that I’m not Chinese. I’m British, I live in London and I’ve never travelled to China before, even though I’d love to.

I hope you don’t take this the wrong way but please recognise how far a compliment can go before it starts to become toxic.
