As you know, many beautiful women use this app. You may wish to say things to her like "you're beautiful" or "you're a goddess" etc. However, did you know that this actually makes most girls feel uncomfortable? This is especially true if it's within a first message.

I understand that you may wish to say this just to be nice or polite, but 99% of the time these comments escalate into full attempts of flirting which then breach the HelloTalk rules..

Please be mindful of how and when you choose to express your attraction towards another human on this app. You need to understand where you stand with your conversational partner beforehand. Some might be OK with it. Others may not be. Don't just dive in with it though because it will create an uncomfortable feeling due to the well-known and most common outcome. You may see it as nothing, but for us it creates real uncomfortable feelings.

Try getting to know someone in a friendly way before you try to flirt with or court them. Also, don't be bitter if your HelloTalk partner doesn't reciprocate your advances. They don't have to appease this need.
