11.11 Remembrance Day 2020 🌺
Lest we forget ❤️
Remembrance
Day is a special day in the Commonwealth (countries like UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand etc) At the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, we collectively observe a minute silence to remember all those who have died in wars.
The poppy flower is a symbol of remembrance. Many people wear a poppy on our shirt/jackets over our heart on Remembrance Day. The money spent on poppy merchandise helps fund charities that support people in the Armed Forces.
This day has been a tradition for over 100 years, since the first world war ended and is important in our history.
