We cannot have everything we want in life. I have long realized that. Life is a compromise. Relationship is a compromise. It’s not uncommon to find ourselves settle for relationships that seemed less than our ideals or at least closest to what we can get given our circumstances. Sometimes, even giving up certain values… like romantic value, passionate love, in exchange for a non-romantic value, like wishing to live comfortably without any financial worries.

It’s a difficult decision to make. And, unfortunately, lingers with you for the rest of your life, eventually casting doubts about whether the path you chose was the right one.

So, my HelloTalk friends, if given just one choice… do you pick love or do you pick life?
