A little English practice: (Question for conversation: do you
have any words or sayings that you use often in your life?)When my mother was just a baby, my grandmother found out she had cancer.
It was too far progressed and the doctors told her she only had a few months left to live. My grandmother, however, was not one to back down from a challenge and fought for 8 long years so that she could see my mother grow.
I never met my grandmother, but my mother always said she used to say that “a rainbow only comes out when there’s sunshine after the rain.” I think now this message is more important than ever.
Even though we are facing rain that seems like it will never end, with a little sunshine there’s bound to be a rainbow on the other side.
