It’s time to blow your mind. Possibly even bore you with too

much information.

I see a lot of requests for help with pronunciation, so the person requesting can sound more like a native speaker (of any language).

Pronunciation is how you say the word - making the sounds.

Articulation is where you put your tongue against your teeth, or the roof of your mouth while you are pronunciation.

To speak like a native in any language, we have to learn ‘enunciation.’ This is pronouncing and articulating clearly while following the rules of the language being spoken.

As a native English speaker, my enunciation in Korean is really bad 🤣 But my pronunciation and articulation have improved.

Now if I could just recall the words for conversation, the enunciation would improve.

@Ju It really helps. It’s how I’ve approached learning Korean. It’s a slow process, but I think it’s an important step.

@Jung Hwan Lee Think of it like the three stages of speaking. Even as children, we learn first to pronounce. Then our parents teach us to articulate the sounds of the word we say. The finale stage is enunciation - when pronunciation and articulation work together. 🤣
