Hey everyone, 👋🏼
Hope all is good. I found this post which has
some useful info on how you can use HelloTalk for studying languages? For example: •Reading moments (people here posts many moments in their native languages - and if it's possible, reading laud)
•Reading, downloading and understanding pictures, which are posted in moments (people can post materials with vocabulary or grammar and other stuff)
•Taking materials in your native language or other you know better than target one (it is easier to understand some stuff if they are presented in the language you know)
•Listening to voice moments (and if the text is the same, I try reading too)
•Writing moments (about myself - it's the best way, because I can practice useful words for me, and if I make mistakes, native speakers can correct me)
•Speaking in moments (I don't use it so much, but people can help you with correcting you)
•Commenting and just being active (answer in your target language, ask questions if you don't understand something)
•Writing with people (sharing thoughts with asking if you need help)
•Using voice recorder (the best method for start speaking, you have to only wait for answer)
•Making group calls (speaking live can be difficult, but in this way you can learn language very fast)
•Taking links with songs, films, etc. And other materials (sharing stuff is the popular method here)
•Asking questions everywhere (it is better to ask by yourself than only waiting for materials that other people can give you)
•Being active everywhere (real learners can find partners for practicing more often than other people)
•Using HelloWords (a game for practicing vocabulary; at the moment it isn't the best option for beginners, because I see here mistakes - some words are translated for nouns even if there are verbs, etc.)
•Using the bookmark "learn" for studying basic words and phrases (it's not free, so you have to pay for it)
Hope it helps! 💯
