These pictures are from a few years back.
(although I still
look the same 😂) My Swedish friend Ivar and I went to a Language exchange Cafe in Seoul together and met one of my good friends here in korea. He just so happened to sit at our table with his sister that day and our conversation hit it off.
His name is Donghi, and English name is Eddy, which we laughed at him for. he's also here on hellotalk but I'm not sure if he uses it still.
After we got out from the language cafe he wanted to take us to eat his favorite food, gopchang ( intestines). He was adamant that it was great and we had to try it. I didn't particularly enjoy it, but it wasn't bad at all. I think for me it was about the texture... or the intense smell it infused into my clothes.
I miss the simple things we used to do before the pandemic. something as simple as eating out with a complete group of strangers and getting to know each other. lots of people fall in love with korea because of the dramas or music. for me it was the people and food culture.
I've had many great times with him, and we even set up a blind date for ivar together; and helped him flirt in korean over ktalk 😂
His sister is also a lovely girl, and we had lots of conversations together as well. I still remember her telling me on the first night that I resembled pooh bear 😂
I'll share more about Donghi and his sister later on too, as we did have many fun memories together.
