Another

day, another place. Last evening I visited a different open space park nearby. There is a creekside trail and it's a very popular spot that gets extremely busy when people come up from the city on weekends. Weekdays are much better.

I hiked a small loop and didn't see much interesting to photograph until the sun was about to set. As I walked along the creek I suddenly came upon an egret standing in the water. This was a rare opportunity for me because egrets are very skittish and they don't usually let you come too close. This bird gave me a few minutes when it was slowly walking in the water looking for dinner. I got a few decent shots of out that!

Next was a cute small bird I spotted diving in and out of the water. It's am American Dipper. These birds eat insects, fish eggs and very small fish. It was great fun photographing this little guy.

I took a few shots of creek before the sun disappeared and drove home satisfied.
