Virginia is for lovers….it is their slogan. My husband and I

are in Virginia. Today we visited Jamestown, founded in 1607, was the first successful permanent English settlement in what would become the United States.
I don’t think I could have survived during primitive Jamestown settlement. 😬🥺

Dinner was Ethiopian 🇪🇹 food. 😋

@rimi Dōitashimashite Yes, Jamestown was an important place in the initial establishment of the United States. Have you heard of Pocahontas? She was born in Jamestown, a Native American. She married an English man. Their marriage was to form a friendly relationship between Native Americans and English people. Pocahontas and her husband moved to England. After living there a year, she died.

@rimi I think when she lived in England, she missed her family terribly. Her son was often sick.😔
