.“Put off”
Meaning, was not attractive.
Did not like.
You go on a date.
The date is going well.
But then he smokes a cigarette , and you don’t like that.
You can say:
“Everything was great, but I was put off by his smoking”
Meaning, the smoking was not attractive.
Pushed me away, not interested anymore.
“Put off” is a verb, used when something pushes you away.
Opposite of attract.
“I liked the street but was put off by the smell of durian.”
“He was put off by her dog.”
“Put off” is usually used for meeting new people or new experiences.
“The dirty streets put me off of travelling for a while.”
