Bob Marley, was born on February 6, 1945. He was a Jamaican reggae
singer, songwriter, musician, and guitarist who achieved international fame. Starting out in 1963 with the group “The Wailers”, he became very well-known!After The Wailers broke up in 1974, Marley pursued a solo career which established his worldwide reputation and produced his status as one of the world's best-selling artists of all time. In July 1977, Bob Marley was diagnosed with cancer. Marley turned down his doctors' advice for cancer treatments, citing his religious beliefs. Despite his illness, he continued preforming until his health deteriorated as the cancer had spread throughout his body. He died on May 11th, 1981 in Miami, Florida at the age of 36.
His final words to his son Ziggy were:
"Money can't buy life.”
