#local dishes
HelloTalk seems to have embarked on a trend of
# so I decided to give it a whirl. I moved to China almost 5 years ago and I must admit I was scared and anxious about trying the local food. The cooking methods are different as well as the willingness to eat a wide range of body parts, such as feet, stomach and even brain!
However, after a brief adjustment period I’ve fallen in love with China’s culinary treats. 鱼头泡饼,火锅,新疆大盘鸡 and of course Beijing’s very own 烤鸭 are some of my favourites. If I had to choose one restaurant in Beijing that hits the spot it would have to be 金鼎轩, with its array of Cantonese concoctions, pure gluttony.
The moral of this post is don’t judge food by its appearance, description or difference from your native country. Food leaves an indelible mark on a country’s imprint and there are so many delicious delights around the corner, China is right at the top of the food game. 吃货’s unite!
See ya!
