My first impressions of Florence, Italy.

Piazzale Michelangelo in Florence is so beautiful that time stands still.

Pic2: The David is one of the masterpieces of the Renaissance and one of the most famous sculptures in the world, the original is inside the Galleria dell’Accademia but there are two replicas, one in its original place in the Piazza della Signoria and the other done at a larger scale sits on a hill in the Piazzale Michelangelo.

Pic3: The courtyard of Michelozzo inside the Palazzo Vecchio boasts a splendid decor with columns, walls and vaults in an exuberant mannerist style by Giorgio Vasari. In the center is a fountain that in the upper part has a sculpture known as the "Angel with the Dolphin " by Verrochio.

Pic4: The Ponte Vecchio a place that you have to visit in Florence for its history and its views!

Pic5: The Basilica di Santa Croce is the largest Franciscan church in the world. It is 115 meters long and 38 meters wide, something that characterises it are the almost 300 tombs and some historical figures that rest there are Galileo Galilei, Machiavelli, Lorenzo Ghiberti and Rossini.

Pic6: Discover in Florence the Ponte Vecchio considered the oldest stone bridge in Europe and seeing its reflection on the Arno river is something spectacular!

Pic7: Brunelleschi's dome work began in 1420 and was completed in 1436. It was the first octagonal dome in history to be built without the support of a wooden frame, making it one of the most spectacular achievements of the Renaissance.

Pic8: In the Piazza del Duomo you will find the Florence Cathedral with three buildings of great artistic wealth, the Duomo, with the famous Brunelleschi dome, the Baptistery and the bell tower.

Pic9: Florence, capital of the Tuscany region in Italy, is home to several masterpieces of architecture and Renaissance art. One of its most iconic attractions is the Duomo, a cathedral with a terracotta-tiled dome designed by Brunelleschi.
