Here are some sentences to use for this question! I’ve seen many people answer this robotically as if it’s automatic and not the real answer.
👱🏻♀️: hi how are you?
Ex: I’m not too bad, I had a headache yesterday but I feel alright now.
(I’m not too bad: this is good if you’re ok but not entirely happy.)
Ex: I’m really good thanks, just got myself a new bike and I’ll ride it this weekend with my sister.
(I’m really good thanks: you told them why you are good which can lead to a better conversation.)
Ex: I’m not doing great at the moment, I got dumped this morning. I just need to keep my mind off it.
(I’m not doing great at the moment: you’re not good but you don’t want to make others uncomfortable so you add a way that lets them know they can help with distractions.)
You can say whatever you want but make sure you add a little detail as to why you are feeling this way. People can have more information to be able to have a smooth conversation with you.
