さいごのよるはふたりともかなしかった。 もう1日 、たいざいしたかった。We were both sad on the last
night. We wanted to stay one more day. This is another post in my summer trip journal series - Day 5 and 6 (Part 14):
After visiting Silverton we got back to the lake and rented a canoe. It has been our tradition for many years now that we rent a canoe to do some paddling at least once a season. We were the only ones on the lake, but the skies were clouding up. We did get a few sprinkles, but luckily it passed. My plan was to hike as well, but there was just not enough time. So I just made it halfway around the lake and took some pictures.
I wanted to share a view of the campsite. It was away from the water (I was fortunate to get a spot at all), but still in a nice setting a just a short stroll away from the lake.
We had a good dinner (sausages, pasta and salad) and sat by the campfire until late enjoying our last night. The next morning I was determined to get up earlier than the day before for sunrise photography. Well, I still could not rouse myself early enough, but I shaved off maybe 20 minutes. The scene was even better than the first morning, so I can't help but share a bunch of photos of the smooth water and mountains draped in soft morning light. I was overcome and ran like mad around the lake to capture different vantage points. I have a few more shots, coming up in the next post... 😉
