Idiom of the Day
“Keep the ball rolling” &
“A rolling stone
gathers no moss” When you “keep the ball rolling,” you are continuing to put forth effort into an objective so that you do not lose momentum. Maybe you submitted a job application, and now they are requesting you take a competency test. You would “keep the ball rolling” by taking this test, and maybe follow up with an email a few days later to check on the progress of your application. We also would say “a rolling stone gathers no moss,” meaning if you keep moving, you will not be hindered.
