あっというまにじかんがすぎていくのをかんじませんでした。しあわせなごごであった。- I did not notice how
quickly time had passed. It was a happy afternoon. This is the final chapter in my weekend adventure that I have been sharing over the last few days. Just a simple excursion to a lake. 😄
It completely exceeded my expectations. I got a nice walk in and I saw more large birds than I have ever seen before in a single place, certainly more eagles and pelicans and some of them were extremely close for birds in the wild.
The finale was the sunset. I raced to a spot where I would have a clear view of the lake as the sun was quickly setting. I managed to take a few shots on the way, including #1 and #2 with the eagle sitting in a tree. Then I reached a good vantage point looking west and took a series of shots with the sun disappearing behind the mountain range.
The brief moment right after sunset with the lake glowing in red and orange was indescribably beautiful. I am not sure the photo really captured it right, but that's all I got.
It is really interesting how the results differ between my cell phone camera and my superzoom camera. Photo #4 is taken with my Samsung phone. Pretty impressive, actually, right? The color spectrum is very different.
I'd like to thank you for your comments, especially if you keep coming back and take the time to read my posts. I am having fun putting my thoughts and recollections into words and posting them for the world to see, something I have rarely done before starting with HelloTalk. It is a lot of work. A photo post like this will easily take me two hours or more, from the selection and editing of images, to the writeup and coming up with a simple enough sentence or two that I can try to translate (with heavy help from DeepL and the kanji->hiragana converter) and learn from.
Until next time...
