What’s the difference between FOR and SINCE?

I’ll show you

!

✔️Use FOR to talk about a length of time (minutes, hour, days, weeks, months, years, etc.)

•I have studied FOR three hours this morning.
•She has been on a diet FOR two weeks.
•Mr. Tom has been teaching FOR over 25 years.

✔️Use SINCE to talk about a specific point of time in the past (9 am, Tuesday, April, 2017, etc.)

•I have been studying for my test SINCE 8 am.
•She has been on a diet SINCE last Tuesday.
•Mr. Tom has been a teacher SINCE 1996.

@Vano Ваня yes. Example: I haven’t seen my doctor for a long time. I haven’t seen her since before the pandemic.
