It's been raining cats and dogs all weekend. I have been trying to be productive, but with two football games each day in EURO 2020, it's not so easy. 😂 Today, I am celebrating, the Czech Republic is in the quarterfinals with a fantastic performance against the Netherlands and a 2:0 win! ⚽️

Here are my images from my hike last Sunday, or at least the first part of it. It was a very warm and muggy day, and I went in mid-afternoon hoping it would stay dry. It did and I had a pleasant outing. The mountain park I chose is one that is more lush than some others around here and from past visits I know the wildflowers there are abundant.

The first flower is a Columbine, the state flower of Colorado. The second one is a wild rose. There were fields of bluebells and I tried to capture them from various angles. I hope I succeeded. The orange one is Indian Paintbrush. I really love that flower, especially in combination with others they just look so striking. The sunflower is another favorite. 

From the trailhead you hike up a ravine up to a ridge with nice views over the surrounding terrain. It was hazy, so the peaks were mostly hidden, but the rock formations look interesting. It's a good spot for a break before heading back down.
