What's

new at the lake? I paid the park a visit a couple of days ago. The birds were active, but I noticed no new species. As I was walking, the bald eagle made an appearance. I tried to capture it in flight, but it's so difficult once it gets closer to the camera. The photo here is not even sharp, but I liked the way it looked against the clouds. It then set down on a tree limb not too far from where I was observing, just above the trail. Just as I approached, a jogger came from the other direction. Spooked, the bird took off again, and of course I was too slow to react. The photo I got is not as good as last time because it's shot against the sun and not from the best angle.

The eagle then landed on a dead tree on the other side of the lake. You cannot really get close, so that photo (#4) is the best I could do.

The heron was on the hunt again in the shallows. I like the feel of the second to last photo. Yes, spring is here!

Finally, the last photo is just for laughs. This is me "working" from home. I was on video call on the phone with my mom when Bandit sneaked up on me, made himself comfortable in my lap and rested his head on the warm laptop. 😂
