Growing Japanese eggplants 🍆
The cute ladybugs eat the awful

aphids. Aphids seem to like Japanese eggplant leaves.🐞🙏
I added soy sauce, extra virgin olive oil, shiitake mushroom seasoning and sesame seeds to the saute eggplants.😋

Beets photos 5-8 😉
Also growing beets, a root vegetables. I don't think many people eat them. They are nutritious and easy to cook.

    Wow everything grows so well. For me on the first very warm day I go out to my roses and look for the aphids. And I squish them. I go out three days and squish them all. No more aphids the whole season.

    @Maggie My rose plant isn't doing well. First I sprayed with mixture of mild dish detergent and water. This didn't help get rid of aphids and Chinese lantern bugs. Then sprayed with Neem, safe for roses. But I think the first spray may have slightly damaged the rose plant. Do you use any spray to get rid of the mosquitoes?

    Wow, the eggplants look delicious and gorgeous. I often deep fried them and marinated with soup stock, soy-source, sugar and hot chili paper. I like your garden and your garden's small creatures. 😍😍😍

    I love them both! Eggplants are probably my favourite vegetable. Luckily several typical Greek dishes contain eggplants so I can eat them quite often. :) We use beets mostly in salads, we don't make soops or fermented food like in Russia and other countries. I île eating beer salad with grilled fish. 😋 You did a good job in the garden. 👌

    @Νίκος I think both eggplants and beets are not popular vegetables in the US.😅 When there are a lot of eggplants, we make baba ganoush. I like beets when they are roasted. 😋 I think I would enjoy eating in Greece.
