Last night I watched
Avengers: Endgame. It was the release night of the movie and so the cinema was showing a double bill which started with Avengers: Infinity War and then concluded with a midnight showing of Endgame, the first in the UK. It was over six hours in total and finished at 03:00 in the morning. I really enjoyed the experience and felt the movie was very well written and a fitting conclusion to the 22 film Infinity Saga of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
What astounds me in particular is the ability of the filmmakers and screenwriters to tell a coherent, entertaining and captivating story that gathers such a large ensemble cast. This is true of both movies I watched last night and I think they are great marvels (pun intended) of storytelling.
