A strange coffee trend in Melbourne 🇦🇺


Back in 2017, a cafe

in Melbourne made news headlines with a new kind of latte coffee - called the Avolatte 🥑


Yes- It is literally a latte served in an Avocado. At first, the owner and cafe’s barista joked about the inventive idea, however much to their surprise, some people actually started visiting the cafe to try the Avolatte ☕️

The manager joked that it was an idea after a prank with the kitchen staff, but people on social media were very interested in the idea, thinking it was a new hipster trend or new coffee sensation 😎

Interestingly this was at the time when Avocado was also becoming increasingly popular, for being menus and healthy eating - eg. Smashed avocado on toast 🍳

Ideally, the cafe wanted to point out that people spend around $4-5 on coffee daily. With proper savings to not spend everyday for coffee, people could save up that amount of money for house/property investments in the future 🏡

Brilliant idea or has the world finally surpassed insanity?? 🤪
