It's Thanksgiving Weekend in Canada, usually a time spent with

family.🇨🇦

Although the college where I worked suspended the English program because of the pandemic, I am still fortunate to be able to teach by offering private lessons to children of my ex-students.🙏

Although I have never taught children, I am thankful that they have accepted me as their teacher. I love their enthusiasm, quirky sense of humour, and their motivation to learn. (Why are pencils and erasers always falling off the desks when children are around🤔? Is there a scientific reason for this phenomenon?🤔)

I am also thankful for the children's parents who have also supported and encouraged me. 🙏One of the mother's made a Thanksgiving Day card showing me with my young apprentices.

And of course, I am also thankful for the beautiful, smart people here on HelloTalk whom I have corresponded with. 🙏You've taught me a lot about the world.
