When I was in a relationship, my Korean language skills were very very minimal.. I couldn't read or write, just about understand and maybe use small words. At the time I asked him to help me and he said it would be pointless to teach me because he can speak English. Fast forward and my Korean language skills have improved so much since being single. I text my friends in Korean, I can understand songs and watch dramas without some subtitles. I can shop by myself. You don't need to rely on anyone to achieve your own goals. Sometimes people just want to take control and hate to see you do well. Remember, you can do anything.
