Good morning everyone!
One of the joys of learning English is
learning that we have words that not only have different meanings but can also have complete opposite meanings - for example the word “dust”. Meaning #1: To add small particles to a surface.
Ex: I like to “dust” my pizza crust with just a little bit of seasoning before I put on the pizza sauce
Meaning #2: To remove small particles from a surface
Ex: I reminded my brother to dust his piano because it looked dirty
Did you know that “dust” is also a noun meaning small dry particles that are carried through the air and build up on surfaces?
Hope you guys found this helpful! Thanks guys!
