🌎 There’s a difference between Earth and earth.
⤷ Earth is the planet where we live; earth is the dirt found there. (think land, ground, soil)

↝ The spacecraft was receding from Earth at a speed of 1.1 miles per second.
↝ Those colors represent the elements of earth, water and fire.

🔍 Affect vs effect
⤷ Affect is almost always a verb meaning “to influence”. Effect is the result of an action, something brought by a cause (think cause and effect).

↝ Try to not let his problems affect you too much.
↝ The depression in business also had its effect upon the country.

🤦🏻‍♀️ Using “literally” the correct way ✅
⤷ It means “actually; with truth to the letter” and we use it when we want others to know we’re serious and honest and not exaggerating or being metaphorical!

❌ Omg, I literally had a thousand slices of pizza and I’m about to burst!
↳ Good grief, please don’t use it like this.

✅ I literally just had 4 drinks last night, which had me three sheets to the wind. 🥴
